Legends

WA Youth Orchestra

Please note: The CPP Concert Hall car park is currently closed and there will be night time works in the area later in the evening on Sunday. More information below.

A captivating journey of musical legends.

Soothing, uplifting and incredibly popular, The Lark Ascending for violin and orchestra transports the audience on a captivating and ethereal musical journey.

Renowned local violinist Paul Wright will breathe new life into this classic work with the perfect mix of dazzling technique and heartfelt sensitivity.

A choir of over 100 young people will then join forces with the orchestra in a musical celebration of two inspiring songs by Australia's Paul Jarman, specially arranged for this performance.

The concert will also feature Bernstein’s adventurous and spirited Candide Overture and Symphony No.5 by Sergei Prokofiev, best known for his musical adventure, Peter and the Wolf.

Perth Concert Hall has been advised by the City of Perth that the CPP Concert Hall car park beneath the venue will be unavailable for this event due to maintenance.

There are other nearby car parks still available, such as the CPP Terrace Road car park. Find more information about your transport and parking options here.

If you are driving we recommend planning your journey ahead of time.

Additionally, the east bound road along Adelaide Terrace between Victoria Avenue and Hill Street will be closed from 8pm due to night time works by the City of Perth.
