Dalia Stasevska is one of the world’s most in-demand conductors, and she makes her much-anticipated WASO debut with a concert of Nordic masterpieces.
Opening with Finnish composer Outi Tarkiainen’s earthshattering exploration of life and love, Alexander Gavrylyuk then performs Grieg's beloved Piano Concerto. Acclaimed at its premiere, it established Grieg’s reputation as the musical voice of his nation.
Evoking the spirit of Dalia Stasevska’s own Finnish homeland, the majestic beauty of Sibelius’ Symphony No.5 has ensured its place in the musical canon.
