Ode to joy
To listen to a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 is to enjoy a profound musical experience. One of the greatest of all symphonies, it continues to inspire with its uplifting message of hope and unity. Join WASO, conductor Alpesh Chauhan, a stellar lineup of soloists, and the WASO Chorus as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of its premiere. James Ledger enjoys his own premiere with The Last Thing, a moving work composed for one of Australia’s finest singers, Sara Macliver.
