CHOIR STALLS NOW OPEN

The choir stalls area is situated in a raised position above and behind the stage and the artist. As Tim Minchin will be facing away from you, a low ticket price has been set.

Seating is unreserved on padded benches. Entry is by general admission.

Spend an evening in the company of internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter, musician, actor, writer and comedian Tim Minchin as he celebrates the publication of his first non-fiction book, You Don’t Have to Have a Dream. 

In conversation with WA’s first female Independent Federal Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives, Kate Chaney, hear Tim share his inimitable thoughts and advice on life, art, success, kindness, love and thriving in a meaningless universe. Drawing from his legendary university commencement addresses, Tim’s rallying cry for creativity, critical thinking, and compassion in our daily lives will touch the science-loving reality-romantic in all of us.

Tim, in addition to being known for his sold-out music and comedy tours, is the composer of music and lyrics to Matilda the Musical and Groundhog Day, winning him an Olivier Award for both.

Pre-purchase of a signed copy of Tim Minchin’s book You Don’t Have to Have a Dream has now closed. A limited amount of books will still be available for purchase at the show.  

You Don’t Have to Have a Dream is a beautifully idiosyncratic celebration of life, art, success, kindness, love and thriving in a meaningless universe, drawn from three iconic graduation speeches.

Pre-purchased copies are to be collected from the venue on the day of the event.

If you pre-purchased the book, you will need to provide your name and bring ID with you on the day to collect it. You are responsible for collecting your pre-purchased book; books will not be posted.
