A playful spirit awakens with passion, wit and charm
“He has fingers that seem as though they were made to create rainbows.”
The Los Angeles Times.
Beethoven’s ground-breaking piano concertos established him as one of the greatest of all composers. Performing the full cycle is the dazzling Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov, one of the finest of his generation.
A favourite of audiences and critics, his triumphant return to Perth will be his first Beethoven piano concerto cycle; an extraordinary milestone to experience live.
In this concert we begin the journey with the wistful youth and romance of the first concerto, and the beauty of his third.
