WASO celebrates the 100th birthday of the composer of West Side Story.
Composer, conductor, educator - Leonard Bernstein was quite simply one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth-century. Extravagantly talented and boundlessly creative, he fused genres and styles to create quintessentially American music.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Bernstein’s birth, Benjamin Northey conducts a spectacular program showcasing ‘Lenny’s’ work for Broadway, film screen and concert stage, from the streetwise West Side Story to the hopeful and uplifting Chichester Psalms.
