Trio Dali is an ensemble of soloists, who come together for the love of playing chamber music. Such pleasure in performing is a pleasure for the listener, too.
For this tour the Trio have chosen to open the concert with a work that demonstrates their innate but subtle expertise with Schubert’s extensive and glorious work, Piano Trio no 1, which extends to a full concert half in a magnificent display of musical glory. After the interval, hints of Paris creep into the program with Australian composer Roger Smalley, who’s delicious Piano Trio brings delicate figurations to its shimmering tones. The Trio concludes with one of their favourite works; the late-Classical grace of Mendelssohn’s C minor Trio, op 66.
Approx. 120 minutes including a 20 minute interval. Please note latecomers are only able to be admitted to the rear of the Hall after the first movement (14 minutes into the concert).
