Chamber Music Weekend
The Cygnus Arioso Chamber Music Weekend celebrates the artistry and intensity of this most intimate form of music making.
Taking place on our Chamber Music Stage, the fourth concert of this magical weekend will take you into the world of Grieg’s Holberg Suite.
The opening notes revealing the energy and melody driving this five-movement suite based on eighteenth-century dance forms. Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet then completes the concert (and the festival), setting playful themes against moments of sublime repose in this undisputed masterpiece of the repertoire.
