Australian Youth Orchestra in Concert

Experience the vivacious energy of the next generation of classical musicians with the Australian Youth Orchestra – assembled each year from the top young talent across the country.

Ranging in age from 12 to 25 years, these performers will transport you with musical colour and sophistication beyond their years.

This April, the orchestra will fill Perth Concert Hall with an exhilarating program of Mahler and Shostakovich under the baton of Eivind Aadland. The heart-wrenching beauty of Mahler’s Adagietto movement from his Fifth Symphony will be paired with the tempestuous journey of triumph and despair within Shostakovich’s Tenth Symphony.

This is sure to be a concert not to miss.
