Traverse centuries to celebrate the genius and legacy of one of the true titans of classical music, Ludwig van Beethoven.

Directed by renowned pianist and three-time Grammy nominee Kristian Bezuidenhout, this concert brings Beethoven's most beloved work, the mighty Emperor Concerto, to life as it is presented alongside music inspired by the great composer, from Franz Schubert to contemporary Swedish composer Britta Byström.

Acclaimed for his affinity with historical instruments, Kristian will perform on a fortepiano, an instrument he describes as bringing Beethoven’s wild and revolutionary tendencies to the fore. Joining Kristian and the ACO onstage are period-instrument wind and brass musicians handpicked from around the globe, creating a majestic soundworld full of character and energy.

Guaranteed to be an enlightening and profound musical experience, don’t miss this rare chance to hear Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto as though for the first time.
