STATEMENT FROM MUSIC ON THE TERRACE RE: 'WINTER TEA DANCE' & 'SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION'
Wednesday 30 September, 2020
"The Government House Foundation Board has been working hard to find a way to stage the Winter Tea Dance Gala and the Sydney Piano Competition events. Sadly, due to the continuing restrictions placed on venues due to COVID-19, the Board has made the difficult decision to cancel both of these events which had originally been postponed to 2021.
Different rules apply to outside venues so, absent any change to Government restrictions, Jazz on the Lawn on Sunday 8 November 2020 is still going ahead and we hope to see you all there."

STATEMENT FROM AUSTRALIAN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA RE: BEETHOVEN 250 EVENT
Tuesday 29 September, 2020
"Dear Patron,
In April, when we cancelled our national tours through to the end of September, I was cautiously optimistic we would be returning to the halls around Australia by the end of the year. Sadly, the reality of our current situation means we remain unable to travel outside of NSW at present.
It is with a heavy heart that I write to notify you that we are cancelling our Beethoven 250 concerts outside of NSW. With border and travel restrictions still in place for much of Australia we felt it best to make this decision now.
We hope you have been enjoying the free digital performances we have been releasing through ACO HomeCasts. I hope you continue to feel connected to the Orchestra as a member of our extended ACO family.
With the ever-changing landscape of live performances, we are excited to share with you a new digital experience we will be announcing later in the year for our 2021 season. Click here to sign up for our eNews to make sure you are kept up to date with all the latest information.
Rest assured we will continue making music for you. On behalf of Richard Tognetti and all of our musicians, I thank you for your understanding and support in what continues to be an extremely difficult time for communities, large and small, right around Australia and the world.
Please stay healthy, and I look forward to welcoming you back into the hall as soon as we safely can.
Warm regards,"
- ACO Managing Director, Richard Evens
STATEMENT FROM VIOLENT FEMMES RE: VIOLENT FEMMES RESCHEDULED PERTH SHOW
Tuesday 22 February, 2020
”Violent Femmes Fans! We are all dressed up and nowhere to go. Half the band are in USA and the other half are in Australia. We can’t get together with Covid restrictions in both places. So we’re postponing our long-awaited Australia / NZ tour to February 2022. We hope the obstacles will be removed by then. Thanks for your patience and be assured we want to see all of you and play for you when the coast is clear. In the meantime stay safe!”

"The Government House Foundation Board has been working hard to find a way to stage the innovative Nuit Blanche experience. Sadly, due to the continuing restrictions placed on venues due to COVID-19, the Board has made the difficult decision to cancel Nuit Blanche, which was due to take place in the Ballroom on Saturday 3 October 2020.
Different rules apply to outside venues so, absent any change to Government restrictions, Jazz on the Lawn on Sunday 8 November 2020 is still going ahead and we hope to see you all there."

STATEMENT FROM WEST AUSTRALIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: WASO CONCERT UPDATE FOR OCTOBER
Thursday 10 September. 2020
"WASO continues to actively monitor and respond to Government advice as we return to the stage.
Due to the WA Government’s extension of Phase 4 COVID-19 restrictions we have made some changes to our 2020 Remixed concert program in October to ensure the safety and peace of mind of all musicians, venue staff, and audiences.
In order to share our concert performances with all ticket holders, while maintaining physical distancing, we have changed venue seating arrangements and doubled the number of performances during October. As a result, some ticket holders will be offered their same seats on new performance dates. These changes ensure that everyone has the opportunity to safely experience our return to the stage.
Ticket holders will be contacted directly on how the new seating arrangements are taking place. For those patrons with seats in additional performances who cannot attend the new concert program, they can get in touch to exchange, refund, credit or donate the ticket value (with our thanks!).
Safely, the show will go on. We look forward to seeing you back at Perth Concert Hall this October.
