Multiple studies indicate that pets are powerful forms of stress relief, lowering not only blood pressure but also harmful stress hormones like cortisol, which is associated with depression and anxiety, and elevating beneficial ones like oxytocin, which is linked to happiness and relaxation. This 2020 has been an unpredictable year and pets have taken on a certain special importance in our lives as we spend more time indoors, and during these past 6 months during the Covid-19 Pandemic, it's been reported that pet adoptions are at all-time high.
Pets are not only great comapnionship but also friends of music, so we tracked down a few performances that some if our favourite Australian musicians have given for their beloved furry friends at home! A recent visit from a beautiful German shepherd, Chica, who is a therapy dog who came in with her patron owner to visit our Box Office last week! We always welcome pets to visit us here at the Hall for all your in-person ticket buying visits!
