After 50 years in Hollywood, Emmy award-winning actor, author, director and producer Henry Winkler will embark on his first-ever Australian tour this summer, bringing his latest memoir Being Henry: The Fonz… and Beyond to the stage.

Henry Winkler's television career took off in the 1970s thanks to his unforgettable portrayal of Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli on the popular TV series Happy Days. His leather jacket-wearing, thumbs-up-giving character became a cultural phenomenon and remains one of the most iconic figures in television history. Henry's portrayal of The Fonz earned him critical acclaim and two Golden Globe Awards, cementing his status as a television legend.

Henry's success extended beyond Happy Days. The actor continued to showcase his versatility with roles in various TV shows, including Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation and Barry. In each role, he brought his unique charisma and impeccable acting skills, earning himself a dedicated younger fanbase.

Henry is known not just for his acting chops but his charming and infectiously upbeat personality, which has gained him a reputation as the “nicest man in Hollywood” (though Henry himself does not approve of this description). Despite his happy-go-lucky demeanour, Henry’s life has not been all smooth sailing. In Being Henry: The Fonz… and Beyond, he delves into his tumultuous upbringing, his struggles with severe and late-diagnosed dyslexia, and overcoming being typecast after his success on Happy Days.
