No matter what language we speak, what colour we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and faith, music proves: we are the same."
- John Denver
This week is Harmony Week, a time in which we celebrate our multicultural society. From the oldest continuous culture of our First Australians to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world - our rich cultural diversity is an integral part of Australia's national identity.
Did you know: nearly half of Australians were born overseas?
Here at Perth Concert Hall, we believe that music and art is one of the most powerful ways to bring people from all walks of life together. As a venue, we encourage you to experience, explore and appreciate the wealth of diversity available to us every day.
Did you know: There are over 500 different nations of Aboriginal people in Australia, many with distinctive cultures, beliefs and languages.
What better way to celebrate these ideas than by checking out a new artist from a different background, learning about a new style of art - ultimately travelling the world within our auditorium.
Coming Up At The Hall - Travel the world in your seat!
Over the coming months, we are excited to host a number of events that showcase an array of different cultures. Take the journey with us in celebrating our beautiful multicultural society.
