Lauded by The Telegraph and others as “classical music’s guitar hero”, MILOŠ is one of the most celebrated classical guitarists in the world today. As a soloist, he has sold out iconic venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall and performed alongside some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, such as the London Philharmonic and LA Philharmonic. His debut album Mediterráneo topped classical charts around the globe, spending 28 weeks as #1 in the UK.
Born and raised in Montenegro, MILOŠ first picked up the guitar at eight years old and began performing in major concert halls by the time he was 14. Despite spending much of his teenage years during the Yugoslav Wars, his passion for music never waned; at 17, MILOŠ was granted a scholarship to study guitar at the Royal Academy of Music in London, graduating with First Class honours.
In 2016, MILOŠ shocked fans when he announced he would be taking a break from public performances due to chronic pain in his hand, a devastating injury that could have cut his career short. After taking some necessary time off to recover, he returned to music a few years later. Since then, he has released two, highly-praised studio albums, Sound of Silence (2019) and The Moon & The Forest (2021). The latter features a guitar concerto written specifically for him by legendary Canadian composer Howard Shore.
This April, MILOŠ will make his highly anticipated return to Perth Concert Hall, over a decade since his last performance here in 2012. His Australian tour, which also includes performances in Sydney and Melbourne, precedes the release of his new solo album later in 2023, which will explore the theme of baroque and its guitar repertoire treasures.
