His Majesty's Theatre

The State-owned His Majesty's Theatre, or 'the Maj' as it is affectionately known, has hosted many great artists since it opened in 1904.

Listed as a State Heritage Icon, His Majesty's Theatre is a 1,240 seat theatre, with seating arranged in a horseshoe shape. This brings the audience closer to the stage and creates a more intimate theatre experience and improving sightlines and sound.

The auditorium features a proscenium arch, a flat stage and an orchestra pit that can be used for seating if required.

 

State Theatre Centre of Western Australia

Opened in January 2011, the State Theatre Centre is WA’s newest theatre. Located on the corner of Roe and William Streets in Northbridge the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia opened in 2011 and features the 575-seat Heath Ledger Theatre and the 234-seat flexible Studio Underground. Also included in the Centre is The Courtyard, a multi-purpose outdoor events space, two rehearsal rooms and two flexible-use private suites.

 

Subiaco Arts Centre

The Subiaco Arts Centre is a multi-purpose venue surrounded by magnificent gardens.

Originally built as the Subiaco City Hall in 1956, the building was converted into a performing arts venue and opened in 1984 as the Subiaco Theatre Centre. In 2006, the centre underwent major refurbishment and reopened as Subiaco Arts Centre.

The Centre boasts three dedicated performance areas including the Main Auditorium with a corner stage and raked seating three sides for 305; the Studio with an intimate performance area seating 115; and Subiaco Theatre Gardens with a stunning amphitheatre for outdoor concerts.

 

Albany Entertainment Centre

Located in the heart of Western Australia's Great Southern region, the Albany Entertainment Centre stands proudly by Princess Royal Harbour, taking its place in Great Southern history as the region's premier performing arts and convention centre.
