THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE STATEMENT RE: THE WALL / ANIMALS TOUR POSTPONEMENT
Monday 25 May, 2020
"The decision has been made that our 2020 New Zealand and Australian tour will be postponed until 2021. We are working closely with each venue - who will make their own announcements regarding transferring tickets for next year's show and refunds. We will keep you updated of each venue's developments as we receive them.
We are gutted it has come to this but look forward to returning with a full New Zealand tour in May 2021 and Australian tour in July/August 2021.
We thank you for all your love and support at this crazy time.
Keep safe and take care.
PFE ❤️"

WEST AUSTRALIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA STATEMENT RE: WASO EXTENDS CONCERT SUSPENSION COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES RECOMMENCE
Thursday 14 May, 2020
On the latest Government advice we have now extended our suspension of mainstage events to 23 July 2020.
As the Western Australian Government relaxes the restrictions put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19, we too are getting back to work in our community even though we can’t perform to audiences on the mainstage. From 18 May our musicians will begin a staged return to section rehearsals and development at Perth Concert Hall. Our community engagement and education team are redeploying our activities in schools including Crescendo music classes from June, tailored digital content shared widely with our audiences across Music for the Ages, Connect, HOP (Hospital Orchestra Project) and Harmony music. The full recording of our 2018 Spare Parts Puppet Theatre partnership production of Carnival of the Animals, and associated education resources were released to schools this week. This recording brings together the words of Australian playwright Nick Enright along with the magical score from Saint-Saëns.
We are as committed as ever to sharing extraordinary music, in a time when we all need it most. Our musicians and staff are creating and sharing new experiences online each week until we can gather again at our home, Perth Concert Hall. You can stay in touch via our Facebook page and https://www.waso.com.au/concerts-tickets/let-the-music-play-on/.
The following events have been cancelled and ticket holders will be contacted directly:
Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony - Friday 5 & Saturday 6 June at 7:30pm.
Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis - Friday 12 & Saturday 13 June at 7.30pm.
Rachmaninov’s Second Piano Concerto - Friday 26 & Saturday 27 June at 7.30pm.
Dvořák's Symphony No.8 - Thursday 2 July at 11am.
Gil Shaham Plays Brahms - Friday 3 & Saturday 4 July at 7.30pm.
For those patrons who cannot exchange tickets but would like to support our mission to touch souls and enrich lives through music, please consider donating part or all of the value of your tickets back to WASO so that we can let the music play on.
Eumeralla, a war requiem for peace has been postponed to 2021. Ticket holders will be contacted directly with the new performance details.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay well and stay safe.
