A NOTE FROM ASHER FISCH,
WEST AUSTRALIAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA'S
PRINCIPAL CONDUCTOR & ARTISTIC ADVISER:
"There is nothing quite like the thrill of experiencing a great orchestra in full flight in a great hall. It's visceral, exciting and moving.
We're fortunate that we can continue to have live music connect us and in 2022 we celebrate this with masterworks, world premieres and exceptional guests from around Australia and across the globe.
This season includes a complete program of Masters, Classics and Morning Series and a diverse range of Special Events.
I am so happy to conduct some of my very favourite works in 2022, including Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring and Mahler's Symphony No.3.
2022 also features much-loved classics including Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony and Elgar's Cello Concerto.
We're proud of our 2022 WASO Season and of the inspirational community activities we deliver, enriching the lives of so many West Australians.
In every way, this is music to move you."
