"I am very sorry to have to inform you that, because of continuing restrictions in place, we are cancelling concert performances until the end of August. This will include the International Concert Season tours of Cho-Liang Lin and Jon Kimura Parker, Chanticleer, and Goldmund Quartet, as well as a number of Morning Masters concerts and regional tours.

You will have an opportunity to receive a refund for your tickets, exchange them for a later performance or donate their value to Musica Viva. Many of you chose to donate when we cancelled our first concert tour, and I am most grateful.

The Musica Viva team is now scattered across sixty desks around the country. Working from our homes, my colleagues and I are preparing for future seasons, finalising the imminent launch of online classes for schools and continuing work with young artists in our FutureMakers program. In all of these activities, we are finding ways to employ musicians who, as always, are central to our work and whose livelihoods have been so badly affected by COVID19.

If you’d like to stay in touch with us during these strange times, sign up to Know The Score here or follow us on Facebook where we’ll be posting regular news and music.

Musica Viva was founded by passionate, resilient musicians who overcame immense adversity. Everyone at Musica Viva is inspired daily by their example and committed to bringing you live music again as soon as it is safe to do so.

With many thanks for your support and every best wish."
