Over 20 years since the release of the Academy Award-winning film Shine, the hero of the film, David Helfgott will once again embark on the rare challenge of performing a piece central to the film, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.3 in D minor, version for two pianos. Widely known as one of the most technically demanding piano concerti ever written.

David Helfgott is one of Australia’s most prolific and treasured musicians. Twenty years since he took the world by storm performing at the world’s greatest concert halls, including London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Avery Fisher Hall, Helfgott continues to tour internationally to critical acclaim, enchanting audiences with his passionate musical interpretations and triumphant personal story.

Now following his rapturous reception at performances at the Sydney Opera House, catch Helfgott at the Hall for one night, joined by internationally acclaimed pianist, Rhodri Clarke, to perform this exquisite and complex work.
